The village is very fortunate to have had such an eloquent and talented grandson as Vincent Schiavelli. He did much to put this town back on the map. Relaxing with this book is a delightful way to introduce oneself to Polizzi and its food. And in Polizzi, just as throughout all of Sicily, food occupies a very special place in the lives of the people.
